Moving Pictures magazine:Winter 2008-2009 edition
The “Human Spirit” issue (winter 2008/2009 edition) of Moving Pictures magazine features an article written by J. Rentilly, with help from Ross Melnick of Cinema Treasures and Karen Colizzi Noonan, president of Theatre Historical Society of America.
The article points out that while you may have enjoyed movies in a venue that sported a state of the art screen and/or sound system:
“… it’s just as likely that you saw the film in a tiny box with a postage stamp-sized screen. Not every silver screen in America is golden, after all.”
But, apparently these folks know a “golden” theatre when they see it, as our own hometown Senator Theatre has been listed as one of the 10 Best Movie Theatres in America!
