Travelled to Baltimore City Hall on Thursday, May 6, 2010 to meet with

Our message, in brief:

The mayor should have the best information available before she makes a decision on the recommendation to lease the historic Senator Theatre.

To that end we provided contact information for two experts from the field of historic theatre redevelopment and preservation and urged the mayor to speak to them before rendering her decision.

We firmly believe the theatre’s neighboring residents, businesses want and deserve the best outcome for The Senator. And, given the examples of other successes around the country (LHAT, Venuetech, Barlow & Associates, etc.) there is an enormously positive opportunity present!

With the guidance of appropriate historical theatre expertise, to transform The Senator into so much more than just a first-run feature cinemaa Baltimore cultural, education & entertainment destination. One that would draw a much larger, diverse demographic to the area than just movies – playing a major role in the revitalization of North Baltimore!
