The SENATOR Theatre listed @ Alex Cooper Auctioneers

Not what wed consider a Sell Me! photo - Intentional?!

Not what we'd consider a "Sell Me!" photo - Intentional?!

Baltimore auctioneers
Alex Cooper have officially listed the auction of The SENATOR Theatre.

The city’s last historical single-screen theatre is scheduled to go under the gavel July 22, 2009 at 11 AM.

Some city officials still insist no one will show up to bid, yet others state that there is substantial interest in the building (from what we’ve heard developers have been trying to get their hands on the place for years).

And we’ve seen one person state publicly (online) that they were encouraging their church to bid: http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/movies/bal-senator-theatre-graffiti,0,1161803,comments.graffitiboard

We should NOT accept this as defeat!

PLEASE, spread the word (Facebook, email, Twitter, etc.) – especially to those who have interest in historic movie houses. Ask them to join the group, or even better, if they are willing to invest in the future of The SENATOR have them contact the management directly: info@senator.com
