  1. Hi, and thanks for your comment on my blog about the Senator.

    The concerns I have about the current buyout offer are these, and I don’t see the answers spelled out in the article:

    1) Will the immediate neighborhood have input into how the building is used? Local (and by local I mean the immediate neighborhood, Govanstowne) resident and business groups should have members on the board of the new nonprofit controlling it. 2) Will the Senator stay open during the transition? It seems to me that ANY period of closure will result in strain on neighborhood businesses and a general degradation of the neighborhood. 3) The Senator needs to stay open every day to generate the kind of traffic that will help the surrounding businesses, and that means movies need to continue playing there.
