THE SENATOR THEATRE Auction date set: July 21, 2009

The Baltimore Sun’s Chris Kaltenbach has reported that the Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) has set the foreclosure auction date for Baltimore’s last remaining historic single screen theatre.

If someone is willing to come and bid the million dollars, that’s acceptable, and they’ll own a theater,” BDC executive director Kimberly Clark said. “We’ll work with those folks on an outcome that’s best for the community.”

So…
If anyone out there knows of a group (or individual) who would like to invest in
a great historic theatre
&
interested in keeping it a theatre (multipurpose arts, entertainment, education),
NOW is the time to let them know that The Senator Theatre could be had
for as little as $1 million!

In the meantime, thanks to a dedicated, all volunteer staff, The Senator remains open!
